I am interested in performing a multi-strata robust design analysis assuming closure within primary sampling periods. When I start the analysis and view the PIM Chart there are no emigration parameters (gammas), as there are when doing a robust design analysis without multiple strata. The Robust Design chapter in the gentle introduction suggests that this is because transition to an unobservable state in a multi-strata model is analagous to emigration. However, in my instance, I am using the strata to model age and therefore both strata are observable. Is MARK capable of modeling emigration in this instance? Are there examples of multi-strata closed robust design analyses in the literature that I can try to emulate?
